A Tribute to Tilly

Hi guys…..this is a short post but it’s a post for one of my new followers, Tilly. Yes you Tilly Collins. I read your blog and it’s great to meet you. I wanted to say it’s great what you’re doing, as I totally believe that being open about yourself and your life and some of the difficulties being experienced is a great way to free oneself of the negative effects.

I have always been pretty open about any issue that I’m facing….from having an alcoholic father to finding a lump. No it wasn’t cancerous. I’m just lumpy. People believe that by hiding everything it will protect them from the pain, but it doesn’t. Journaling, blogging, diarising is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

The second greatest thing is being creative. Life is short, people are going left, right and center, we need to enjoy every moment and all those close to us. That is why I believe you should do the things that make you happy. You will realise from my blogs that I talk about all types of topics because it’s like a release and I discovered that I really enjoy writing. I share whatever I feel and I’m open to comments. I was really touched by your blog….I said touched….not sorry for…..you’ve dealt with a lot for a long time and it’s always great when someone has finally found some footing, to start taking their lives back.

I loved the areas you divided your life activities into….even including renovations and I see you’re into knitting. Very nice….tried but it wasn’t for me. Your drawings were also cute, that’s more my kettle of fish. You should try doing intuitive painting, it’s a great process. As I always say art is life and life is art. Art helps you find yourself, free yourself and fir me it’s very soothing.

For all of us and I say us…..who go through rough patches, my favourite affirmation is ” nothing lasts forever, this to will pass”. Stay strong, do what you enjoy, exercise to get the endorphins going and be grateful for all that you have in life. That is why I recently did a painting called gratin and I listed all the things I’m grateful for. It’s part of a series of feelings. Im sharing a pic of the painting on this post for all of you to see. There is plenty to be grateful for.

Later, check you next week with my next post, I have a nice surprise for you all. Love you guys and have a great day Tilly.

Hi, I'm a mother of four, one boy and three girls ranging in ages from 26yrs to 22yrs. I own my own business that I run with my husband and we have no pets. We've had a variety of pets from dogs, cats fish etc, but things go wrong when we have pets so we decided that we are not pet people. I'm a creative person and I love to learn and share what I learn. Watercolour painting is my great love. I dream of having my art appreciated and hung on the walls of homes, offices, churches, anywhere that people can view them and start up a conversation about them. So that's a little about me, come peruse more of my site and ENJOY!!!
